The Fun of Book Fair Has Come and Gone

It is so fun to see the students eyes take in the library full of so many new and fun books. It is like magic. We sold many and it is always exciting to see the parents so involved with their children's reading.
This year our Tiger Mascot came for the students to have their picture taken. He made his debut at the "Cotton Parade" this year.
The book fair is a lot of fun but a lot of hard work. It is nice when the truck pulls away, the final money deposited and accounted for and the money for the books mailed off to Scholastic. That is what I call relief.
By next Novemeber I'll be ready to go for it again.

The first hour one of the Aide's at our school was the Tiger Cub. She has asthma and couldn't breathe in the costume. After an hour I became the Tiger Cub for the second hour. It was fun.
During the parade it had to be near 100 degrees. One of the men teachers wore the costume that day and never complained about how hot it was. It must have been horrible!!
We had a perfect weather night and the costume was still hot.

I think I would get claustrophobic in that costume. It is really cute though. I showed the picture to Hailey and I asked her who she thought was in the costume and she said, "It must be McGruff." She is terrified of McGruff the Crime Fighting dog and so this answer surprised me. She was excited to know that her Grandma got into the costume. This might help her fear of costumed animal like McGruff and Chuck E Cheese.
