Reflections on Relief Society

http://www.mormonshare.com/relief-society/images/relief-society-women.jpg
Saturday evening was so uplifting. I'm so grateful that I have been able to be apart of this wonderful Relief Society Organization. It has been such a blessing in my life.
1. The friendships I have made
2. The lessons I have learned
3. The service opportunities
4. The mistakes I have made and tried to learn from
5. Wonderful examples of leadership that have served as models to help me in my church callings
6. The many skills I have learned
7. It has given me a sense of belonging
8. The service that has been given to our family
9. The example of my Mother as a Counselor in Relief Society, toting me around all over as she lovingly and willingly fulfilled her calling from the earliest age I can remember. She called me her Relief Society Baby.
10. The glass grapes, amazing clocks and quilts that were in our home growing up, all products from Homemaking Meetings.
11. New recipes
12. Sisters who I could relate with on almost every aspect of life.
13. Sisters who were dealing with concerns the same as mine.
14. Sisters who I could connect with on a spiritual high
15. Wonderful Visiting Teachers
16. Making friendships through being a Visiting Teacher
17. Humanitarian Projects
18. Super Saturday Workshops
19. Cooking Classes
20. Delicious meals that we use to take turns making. Some how the food always tasted better when someone else cooked it.
21. Enjoying Relief Society with my daughters and knowing the blessing it is in their lives.
22. Love, service, learning, spirituality and unity are all blessing I have received from Relief Society and I will always be grateful for this organization and for all the sisters through the years who have greatly touched and made an impact on my life, for good.

I just love Relief Society! The sisters in my ward are so sweet and I really look up to so many of them. My mom is in Utah, so it can be hard sometimes to not have a mom close by. A have the wonderful opportunity of visiting teaching two elderly sisters who have both become a mother to me in many ways. I am thankful for their teaching and kindness.

Thank you for sharing your sweet thoughts about Relief Society! This truly is an inspired organization led by the hands of God to bless the lives of many.

Hi Sister Adamson, thank you so much for visiting my blog and commenting. I have to say that your family is probably the best part of my short Corcoran experience. I love you guys so much! I have visited some of their blogs, and am so happy to see everyone doing so well. You guys are a truly great family!

My parents moved to Tulare a while ago, because my dad got a job teaching at the prison in Corcoran. I don't think he liked it at first, but it has managed to grow on him. It was fun seeing that Adam is on his mission--my little bro. Mark is getting ready to come home, too, he's in Uruguay. As for me, I stopped teaching when my husband finished college, and then we did something weird and joined the Army. Jared plays the keyboard for the Army band, even though he has a master's degree in English. It's been fun, we've been able to see a lot of places. We just moved to Hawaii, and it's been fun so far. He's deploying to Iraq soon, for the first time since we've been in (6 years) so that's no fun, but we'll get through it.

I love to see that you are a librarian, and get to work so close with your husband, that must be fun. I really mean it when I say you should be so proud of the family you have raised, I am really impressed with all of them. =)

Wow you have been busy. I hope that all goes well for your husband. Are you in the service also?
I have very fond memories of you and I still have a special poem that you wrote for me. You were great to be with in Young Women's.
I feel like I have been in Young Women's forever but most of the time I have been back and forth between Young Women's and Relief Society.
Our Branch is very small. I still feel like there is a great spirit there and a feeling of family.
We went to Oahu with Tricia and her husband and his parents several years ago. We loved it. We stayed at Turtle Bay in the condos. What an awesome place to live.

I love you so much mom and am so grateful for you for setting such a great example to me on fulfilling your callings. Relief Society is such a WONDERUL institution. No matter where we go in the world we have instant friends through the Relief Society program.

The General Relief Society meeting is always such a great thing to see! I was so lucky this year to be able to go to the Conference Center and see it live with my cousin and sister-in-law Nichole. It was a GREAT experience! I love all your reflections on what Relief Society has meant to you in your life. It truly is an inspired program that brings so much good into our lives as women in the church.
