Enjoying our rest and cold water before the next lap

One day. One night. One community

Kathy Schmidt a teacher at our school and I relaxing before we headed back out for more laps. It was fun getting to know Kathy and the others better.
The first lap is for cancer survivors and their families.
At night luminares were lit surrounding the track in honor and memory of those who have had cancer. It was very touching seeing the preparation for it and names on the bags. I'm sure that was quite an emotional experience to walk it. What a special tribute.
